Seven Falls Colorado

The property in and around Seven Falls was purchased in 1882 by James Hull, a naturalist who knew of the importance of preservation and conservation of the Earth’s natural resources. James Hull built an access road and constructed a staircase to the falls in order to take advantage of the site and share the awesome beauty of the falls with others. Today, Seven Falls attracts visitors from around the world. Located in a natural canyon just outside of Colorado Springs, Seven Falls is a spectacular natural feature of the landscape offering winding creek views, steep cliffs, natural vegetation, pine trees, interesting rock formations, and seven waterfalls roaring down through the narrow rock to create a spectacular example of nature’s beauty. While the park offers two moderately challenging hiking trails to the summit, those who are less inclined to hike their way to the top can take the unique mountain express elevator - located inside the mountain itself - to the Eagle’s Nest observation platform where they can take in the spectacular views of the falls and the valley below.
Seven Falls Activities. Visitors to Seven Falls can enjoy a variety of great activities. Besides the beautiful waterfalls, Seven Falls is the perfect place for a family or romantic outing, a walk or hike through the natural beauty of the outdoors, bird watching, Native American dance performances, feeding rainbow trout in the trout pool, and much more. Visitors can learn more about Seven Falls and the surrounding area at several educational exhibits. A snack bar and three gift shops offer drinks and food along with souvenirs for visitors.
